A controversial doctor from Australia is set to hold a meeting in Dublin where people will discuss ways to end their lives.
Dr. Philip Nitschke, who runs an organisation called Exit International, has already faced difficulties in finding a venue for his meeting. Two locations have already cancelled his bookings, with Dr. Nitschke claiming that one of the venues had faced “strong-arm pressure from the Catholic Church”.
However, a third location has been found for the event.
On Monday, Dr. Nitschke held a ‘Euthanasia Workshop’ in central London. Exit International say 100 people attended the event.
The meeting planned for Dublin on Friday afternoon will be Dr. Nitschke’s first event in Ireland.
