Trevor Hanna, who was one of Northern Ireland’s most respected journalists has died. He was 73.
Mr. Hanna was a former news editor of the News Letter and during a distinguished career he also worked for the Belfast Telegraph, the Daily Mail and the Daily Mirror.
He went on to establish a successful and highly respected freelance news agency which supplied copy to local, national and international publications.
An old boy of Methodist College, Mr. Hanna had entered journalism in 1954 becoming a junior reporter with the News Letter.
He had worked, until recently, as a correspondent for a range of publications and broadcasting organisations.
Mr. Hanna is survived by his wife Ann, and his two sons and a daughter.
