The ashes of killer Raoul Moat have been scattered in a river close to the Northumberland village where he died during a stand-off with police.
Moat, who shot dead one man and seriously wounded his former girlfriend and a police officer, shot himself on July 10.
His ashes were scattered at the River Coquet a few miles from the village of Rothbury where the stand-off with police had taken place.
Only close family members are understood to have taken part in the ceremony.
However, the decision to scatter the ashes close to Rothbury has been criticised by some residents.
