Former US child star passes away

Former US child star Gary Coleman has died after suffering a head injury in an accident at his home. He was 42.

Coleman’s fame stemmed from his role in the 1970s TV sitcom Diff’rent Strokes in which he developed the catchphrase “Whachu talkin’ ’bout, Willis?”

The pint-sized actor — Mr. Coleman never grew taller that 4ft. 8ins. because of kidney condition ... suffered a series of financial, legal and health problems after the show ended in 1985.

 In recent years he made appearances on reality TV shows. He also ran for California governor in 2003.

Mr. Coleman was injured in an accident at his home near Salt Lake City on Wednesday.  His condition quickly deteriorated and died after suffering a brain haemorrhage.
