Funeral takes place of tragic teenager

The Funeral has taken place of a Newtownabbey schoolgirl who died in a tragic accident.

13-year-old Jordan McDowell was found dead on Sunday, November 14.

It is understood that Jordan may have died after inhaling gas from a helium-filled balloon.

Her funeral took place on Friday (November 19).

A Service was held in the Glenvarna Christian Centre in Newtownabbey with interment taking place in Carnmoney Cemetery.

Jordan was a pupil at Monkstown Cummunity School. A number of friends and fellow pupils attended the funeral.

Donations in lieu of flowers were requested for the N.I. Ambulance Service c/o Wiltons Funeral Directors, 298 Shore Road, Whitehouse BT37 9RW.
