The funeral has taken place of a popular Ballinamallard businessman who died following a ‘freak accident’ in the village.
Norman Hanna, who was 76, died in hospital on Wednesday after apparently suffering a head injury when he fell from a forklift truck. The accident happened at business premises in the village.
Mr. Hanna had originally been an electrical contractor, but is understood to have been working just part-time doing mostly consultancy work.
He was well known and well liked in the County Fermanagh area and many tributes have been paid. Among those to comment was local Assembly member Tom Elliott who knew the victim. Mr. Elliott said the death was a “hugh tragedy” for the family and the entire community.
Mr. Hanna is survived by his wife Lily, and children Rodney, Joan, Alan, Wendy and Carol.
The Funeral was held on Sunday with a Service in Darling Street Methodist Church, Enniskillen, with interment following in Aghavea Parish Churchyard in Brookeborough.
