A 36-year-old man, who was rescued from rocks on the County Antrim coast, has died in hospital.
The rescue operation was launched at just after 9 o’clock on Monday morning (April 19) after police received reports that a person had been spotted at the water's edge at Whitehead.
Police and Coastguards spotted the man close to the mouth of cave below Blackhead Lighthouse.
A Royal Navy helicopter airlifted the injured man to Antrim Area Hospital.
Police say a postmortem examination will now been carried out to establish the cause of death.
