Millions of people observe two minute silence for Armistice Day

Ceremonies have taken place across the country to mark Armistice Day with people observing a two-minute silence.

The ceremonies honoured those who have fallen since World War One.

The Archbishop of Canterbury took part in the ceremony at the Cenotaph in London.

Prime Minister David Cameron, who is attending a conference in South Korea, laid a wreath at the site of the Battle of the Imjin River during the Korean War. 

Fifty-nine men from the 1st. Battalion, the Gloucestershire Regiment, lost their lives in the battle,

A Service of Remembrance also took place at the National Memorial Aboretum in Staffordshire.
