Monaghan man drowns in Australia

A young man from County Monaghan has drowned in Australia.

Damien Crosby, who was 19, died while swimming with friends in a reservoir in Queensland.

He had disappeared on Saturday and the body was recovered the next day.

Mr. Crosby came from Carrickmacross.

It is understood he had been on a year-long working holiday and was expected to return home in the summer.
