Over sixty years in preaching

Noel Grant, who was one of the country’s best known Evangelists, has died.

Mr. Grant, who was 88, lived in the Bangor area but was known throughout the country and overseas. 

During over sixty years of preaching he had attended gospel missions and services in many parts of the country, bringing his evangelism to many thousands of people.

In addition to his preaching Mr. Grant also wrote a number of hymns. He was also the author of books with religious themes.

The Reverend Eric Moore, of Bangor Independent Methodist Church, paid tribute to Mr. Grant. He said the Evangelist will be sadly missed by his many friends and converts.

Mr. Grant was unmarried. His Funeral will take place on Monday (May 24) with a Service of Thanksgiving in Bangor Independent Methodist Church.
