Police issue appeal for help

Police have issued an appeal for help in finding the relatives of a man who was found dead in North Belfast earlier this year.

The body, which police say was identified as William Downey, who was 67, was found at Kensas Avenue on Friday, April 2.

The PSNI say there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

However, efforts to locate Mr. Downey’s next-of-kin have so far drawn a blank.

Officers say they believe a sister of Mr. Downey’s may live in the Tallaght area of Dublin.

Anyone with information is asked to contact York Road police station in Belfast on 0845 600 8000 or 44 28 9065 0222.
