The remains of former Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife Elena have been exhumed in order to carry out DNA tests.
The move follows demands from the Ceausescu family for proof that remains contained in a grave in Bucharest are those of the dictator.
Ceausescu had ruled Romania from 1965 until 1989 when he was toppled by a revolution.
Within days of fleeing the capital the former dictator and his wife were caught and executed.
Family members have always expressed doubt about the official line of where the bodies were buried.
It is expected to be weeks before the results of the DNA tests will be made public.
