Road accident victim is named

Police have named the woman who was killed in a road accident in the Dundonald area.

She was Marie Julia McCullough, who was 80, and lived in the Lower Braniel Road area.

Police say two vehicles were involved in the accident which happened on the Kempstone Road, which is the main carriageway between Dundonald and Newtownards.

The accident occurred at 11.20 a.m. on Friday (April 16), close to Quarry Corner.

A second woman was injured in the crash.

The PSNI have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
