Tributes have been paid to top fashion designer Alexander McQueen who was found dead at his home in London.
Paramedics were called to the property in Mayfair but Mr. McQueen, who was 40, was pronounced dead.
Suicide has not been ruled out. Police said they were not treating the death as suspicious.
The designer had been trying to get over the recent death of his mother.
Mr. McQueen had been the head designer at the Paris couture house of Givenchy and also ran his own McQueen brand.
Among those to pay tribute was the editor of British Vogue, Alexandra Shulman, who said Mr. McQueen “had influenced a whole generation of designers”.
The death comes only days before the start of London Fashion Week and as final preparations were being made to unveil his spring collection in Paris.
