Tributes have been paid to Gerry Gallagher who was a long-serving member of Fermanagh District Council.
Mr. Gallagher was an SDLP member of the council and lived in the Garrison area of the county.
He died suddenly at the weekend.
SDLP leader Margaret Ritchie led tributes to the councillor.
She said: “Gerry was a stalwart of the SDLP. He will be sorely missed by the whole party and particularly by his local government colleagues.
“Gerry’s commitment to social housing was part and parcel of his deep and abiding interest in Fermanagh, Its rural communities and rural development in general.”
A statement from Fermanagh District Council expressed the “shock and sadness” the death had caused.
Fermanagh South Tyrone MP, Michelle Gildernew, also paid tribute.
The Sinn Fein representative said: “Gerry was well known throughout the county and indeed in many surrounding areas. His sudden death has sent a great sense of sorrow and shock throughout the entire local community.
