Tributes have been paid to Oscar winning composer John Barry who has died aged 77.
Mr. Barry won five Oscars for his work in films.
He composed scores for 11 films in the James Bond series. But his work included many other movies, among them Born Free, Midnight Cowboy and Out of Africa.
His most recent work was for the thriller Enigma (2001).
Born John Barry Prendergast, he first enjoyed fame with the John Barry Seven. But it was to be his work in the film industry which was to bring him world-wide recognition.
Apart from his Oscars, Mr. Barry also won four Grammys, a Bafta and a Golden Globe.
He was awarded an O.B.E. in 1999.
