Tributes are continuing to be paid to the American singer and actress Lena Horne following her death at 92.
As well as a career spanning 60 years in entertainment, Ms Horne also became an activist for civil rights in the United States.
In the 1940s, Lena Horne became one of the first black performers to get a contract in Hollywood. She appeared in the musical Stormy Weather (1943) in which she sang the title song, which was to become her signature tune.
Her one-woman show, The Lady and her Music, enjoyed considerable success on Broadway and London.
She was awarded a special Tony award to mark her long career and also had two Grammy awards to her name.
Many tributes have been paid to her.
