Victim believed to have been a fisherman

The body of a man has been recovered from a lake in county Tyrone.

Police say a search operation was launched at Carrick Lake in Aughnacloy following reports that a man had been seen falling into the water.

The PSNI say they received a report that a fisherman was seen falling into the lake at around 10.30 p.m. on Friday.

Divers recovered the body on Saturday morning (May 29).

The victim has been named as John Thomas Shields, who was 52 and lived in the Belvoir area of Belfast.
