A young girl from England has died after being struck by a car on a beach in Florida.
Ellie Bland, who was from Nottingham, died while playng on the sands at Daytona Beach.
It is understood the young girl had been in the U.S. on a holiday with her family.
Eyewitnesses reported that they saw Ellie run in front of the car which was being driven by a woman.
Driving is permitted on the beach, but drivers are warned to watched out for pedestrians.
A spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol said the death was being investigated.
