The Glenavy community is in mourning following the death of a local youth in a road accident.
Christopher McCloskey, who was 17, died in a two vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon (March 30).
The accident, involving a Peugeot 306 and a Toyota Land Cruiser, happened at around 3.20 p.m. on the Glenavy Road near Lisburn.
A 59-year-old man was also injured in the crash.
Police have appealed for anyone who was on the Glenavy Road between 3 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. to contact them.
Mr. McCloskey’s death brings to 12 the number of people to die on the roads here this year.
