Death Notice for Alison Douglas
Alison Jane Douglas (née Morton), University Professor, passed away on May 9 at Marie Curie Hospice, Fairmilehead, Edinburgh, aged 50. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Stephen, cherished daughter of Patricia and the late Billy, treasured sister of Barbara and Heather, loving daughter-in-law to Peggy and Colin, sisters-in-law Sonia and Elaine, precious aunt to all her nephews and nieces, especially Emma; much loved by her cousins and relatives in British Columbia, Canada. Highly regarded by her academic colleagues at Edinburgh University, the U.K. and overseas. An inspirational Guide Leader to many young girls and fellow guiders. Devoted to her dogs Sasha and Suki. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday (May 18) at 12.30 p.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Glencraig (see right). Committal to follow to follow in Clandeboye Cemetery, Bangor (see right). Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers have been requested (see right).
