Maureen McVerry, retired teacher of St. Dominic’s High School, Belfast, late of Belfast and Newry, passed away on May 27 in her 100th. year. Much loved sister of Michael and Kay and the late John, Bridie, Teresa and Eyleen. Her remains will leave O’Kanes Funeral Home, Belfast, on Monday (May 30) at 9.30 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 11 o’clock in St. Mary’s Church, Newry (see right). Interment to follow in the adjoining cemetery.
