Life Story for Noel Grant

Noel Grant was one of the country’s best known Evangelists.

Mr. Grant, who was 88, lived in the Bangor area but was known throughout the country and overseas. 

During over sixty years of preaching he had attended gospel missions and services in many parts of the country, bringing his evangelism to many thousands of people.

In addition to his preaching Mr. Grant also wrote a number of hymns, one of which was Go Through With God, in which he wrote: “Go through with God, thy vows to pay, Thy life upon the altar lay; The Holy Ghost will do the rest, And bring to thee God’s very best”. 

He was also the author of books with religious themes.

The Reverend Eric Moore, of Bangor Independent Methodist Church, paid tribute to Mr. Grant. He said the Evangelist will be sadly missed by his many friends and converts.

Mr. Grant was unmarried.
