Fr. Alec Reid, C.Ss.R., passed away on November 22 in Dublin. Fr. Alec will be sadly missed by his sisters Maura and Margaret, his brothers-in-law Don and Jim, his aunt Ita, niece and nephews, cousins and the extended family, also his close friend Anne and his Redemptorist Confreres and many friends. His remains will be reposing at Marianella Chapel, Dublin (for directions, see right) on Saturday (November 23) from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday (November 24) from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass will be held in Marianella Chapel on Monday (November 25) at 11 a.m. His remains will then be taken to Clonard Church, Belfast (for directions, see right) to lie in repose on Monday (November 25) from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday (November 26) from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. An Ecumenical Service of Gratitude for Fr. Reid’s life and ministry in Clonard Church will take place at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday (November 26). The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday (November 27) at 12 noon. Burial will in Milltown Cemetery (for directions, see right). Our Mother of Perpetual Held pray for him.
