Death Notice for Gladys Sloss
Gladys (Glad) Sloss (née Williamson), late of Islandmagee, passed away on February 15. The devoted mother of Victoria and Philippa, passed away peacefully at home. She will be eternally missed by her heartbroken daughters, her sons-in-law Nigel and Mark and adoring grandchildren Hannah, Lilah and Benjamin. A Service of Celebration for her life will take place on Friday (February 18) at 1.30 p.m. in St. John’s Parish Church, Islandmagee (see right). Committal to follow in Islandmagee New Cemetery. Men – no black ties and ladies please dress up in bright colours. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers have been requested (see right).
Gladys was an exceptionally special person. We loved her to the end. We lost two precious things that day, a mummy and a best friend. If tears could build a stairway and memories build a lane, we’d walk the road to Heaven and bring her back again.
